GT Electronics AM-52 Studio Microphone

The GT AM51 and AM52 offer the superb sound of high-end large-diaphragm condenser microphones at prices that musicians and project recording studios can afford. Using solid-state field effect transistor (FET) circuitry, the AM51 and AM52 provide an extremely transparent representation of the acoustic signal, with no coloration and extremely low distortion and self-noise. Their thin, gold evaporated mylar diaphragm offers excellent sensitivity and extremely close matching between pairs of mics. For situations where high sound pressure levels (SPL) need to be captured, the AM51 and AM52 are an excellent choice. Their inherent clarity and sonic accuracy make them a great choice for male and female vocals, guitars, drum overheads, amplifier cabinet miking and most other studio applications.

Aspen Pittman, microphone guru and industry veteran, comments on the similarity between vintage microphones and the new GT Electronics mics. "From the beginning, our philosophy has been to learn from the past. We're convinced that the traditional manufacturing approach delivers the best sounding products. The GT Electronics line is constructed in the classic fashion: precision mic capsules assembled by hand, tightly matched top-of-the-line components, and an unwavering commitment to quality."
